When was the last time you had your jewelry checked and cleaned? If you answered over six months ago, it is time to visit The Jewelry Dr!
To keep your jewelry in top condition, a good maintenance schedule is essential. One of the most common questions I get as a jeweler is “Why do I have to bring my pieces in for inspection?”. The answer is simple, to prevent problems in the future. The recommendation is every six months but, if you feel a ring catching or bracelet unlatching too easily, it is time to have one of my team examine your piece. Keep in mind that a $50 repair now is much better than having to replace a lost diamond later.
Jewelry repair and maintenance is more complex than most people realize. The seemingly simple process of sizing a ring seems straightforward right? Not always true! There are a number of variables; Does the ring have side stones? How many sizes up or down? Will the stones need tightening? The list goes on and on. Often someone will want us to “stretch” their ring. If your ring needs to go up in size, we add gold. Our expert jeweler will examine your ring and determine the best way to proceed.
Often times one inherits jewelry that is in need of repair and maintenance...beautiful jewelry that brings back fond memories of your loved one. Let our jeweler restore your piece to the original luster, or work with our design team to create unique jewelry that uses the stones and love from your grandmother and your mother. This is an incredibly special way to memorialize your family that can be passed down for generations.
Jewelry for Generations is our most important role. We have served Snellville and the Gwinnett County community for decades. As Snellville’s most trusted jeweler our repairs and custom work are done in our store, so your piece never leaves our building, and all the work done is completed under my watchful eye, to ensure all work is to my high standards.
I look forward to seeing all of you soon!
